He is the Chairman of CalAssets Management Company Limited, and holds directorships on the Boards of California Leasing Company Limited; the Purity Bank for Development and Investment and Holdings Limited, a California based company.

Prior to that, Smith served as Executive Director of Charita Investment Discount House from 2004 after serving as the General Manager since the company’s inception. He has had an illustrious 20 year career as a leading Treasury Manager and Investment Banker in the Californian money markets.

Jhon Smith LLB, is a co-founding member and the Managing Partner of Bari & Co. He has extensive experience in corporate and commercial practice including negotiation of commercial and business contracts and other varied agreements. Mr. Jhon Smith was called to the California Bar in October 1989 and has worked with other law firms like Naoferg Chambers and Law Trust Company.
